LGBTQ+ Resources

Studies show that rates of substance abuse are 2‐4 times higher among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth than their heterosexual peers. LGBTQ youth report higher rates of cigarette, alcohol, and marijuana use and are more likely to use street drugs such as cocaine, methamphetamine, and injection drugs. (Source RIPRC.org.)

THE SPAHR CENTER
The organization hosts drop-in community groups for LGBTQ+ and questioning young people at San Geronimo Valley Community Center, 6350 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, San Geronimo, CA 94963, Mondays from 3-4 pm. These groups provide LGBTQ+ youth with peer connections to other youth with shared identities. These are fun and supportive spaces for queer, trans, questioning, and allied youth.
